Mann Mechanical Company uses cutting edge technology to improve project outcomes. The early adoption and implementation of construction technologies has contributed to higher productivity and has enhanced our quality and safety measures. We are also using technology to streamline design, shop fabrication, and field installation in order to reduce rework and any schedule delays. In addition, our software tools are used for cost verification, rigging planning, clash detection and safety overview.
Using state-of-the-art tools such as Autodesk NavisWorks software, Trimble Points, Revit and 3D laser Scanning, our VDC team provides images and data that are key to decision making and coordination early in a project lifecycle. These tools are also used in the creation of the various fabrication and site drawings that our fab shops and installation teams utilize.
The BIM Modeling project team will consist of our Project Manager leading the project for Mann and supported by our BIM design lead along with a dedicated team of BIM modelers, with support from BIM VDC and quality control as required. While it is expected that the customer and EOR shall define the architectural, equipment and major pipe-way layouts, Mann shall work with stakeholders to assist with these definitions with a specific focus on accessibility and constructability. It is anticipated that Mann will provide an LOD 400 model and shall commence our work at the EOR 100% design stage by working with the EOR to develop a trade coordinated model at the completion of this phase. The BIM model shall be used to generate fabrication drawings as well as hanger and spool map layouts.
In an effort to meet the customer’s schedule, our BIM team shall, in agreement with the customer and EOR, develop specific systems (work packages) first, so we can commence fabrication and mobilize our site team to install.
